I never really got into glazes and once I learned the techniques for
burnishing, I never looked back. The following piece is one of my all time
favorites, the surface of the vessel was covered with a dark gray slip and
then burnished to give it that polished marble look. The design was then
etched out with a dremal tool and razor revealing the white clay body
beneath.
