The following image was taken by a USGS satellite in 1992, shortly after Hey Dude ceased production. As you can see, the guest lodge (the large U-shaped structure with the bell tower) has been demolished. It would be just south of the west edge of the lake. The bunkhouses and main lodge are barely visible.

I'd say the only difference between this image and what you see now is the amount of desert vegetation. The clearing evident in this image has been taken back by the desert.
