By the way, another interesting note: all the cast members I spoke to brought
up Cotton Perrin, the show's transportation coordinator. He was an elderly
gentleman who passed away shortly after the series went out of production.
One of his main jobs was to drive the kids wherever they needed to go: into
town for appointments, shopping, etc. Some of them didn't have driver's
licenses, and even the ones who did, of course, didn't have access to cars
being away from home. He was sort of a link to their independence while on
location and they were all very fond of him.
